About Me
I’m Jacqueline Tilles, a passionate nature photographer who discovered my love for this art form after retiring as a music educator in 2003. My journey began at the Morton Arboretum in Lisle, Illinois, where I completed a nature photography certificate and immersed myself in various workshops to hone my skills in both photography and editing. As a proud member of the North American Nature Photography Association, I strive to create images that resonate with my audience. One of my proudest moments was having a photograph displayed in "Expressions 2010," showcasing the top 250 images from an annual competition.
My Focus and Style
The heart of my photography lies in the captivating world of birds. I seize every opportunity to photograph these beautiful creatures, constantly learning about their behavior and habitats through an ornithology program at Morton Arboretum. My photographic style captures the gentle intricacies and vibrant colors of nature, creating images that invite viewers to appreciate the beauty of the wild. I recently upgraded my equipment from a Canon 50D to a Canon 7D, utilizing a range of Canon lenses from 10-22 mm to 500 mm to bring my vision to life.
My Journey
Nature photography has not only allowed me to connect with the outdoors but has also been a pathway to developing new skills and forming lasting friendships with fellow photographers.
